Monash Health recognises that volunteer involvement is a critical part of Australian society.
It contributes to civil society and active participation in building strong, inclusive, and resilient communities. It underlies innovation and social change, our responses to community needs and community challenges, and it brings together and supports the local strengths and assets of communities.
SECASA offers two types of volunteering opportunities:
Opportunities exist for peer educators to develop their skills and expertise in facilitating respectful relationship and protective behaviours workshops for young people aged 3-18.
These opportunities are best suited for university students who are studying in the field of Education, Psychology, Social Work, Criminology or Health Promotion, and have experience in facilitating large groups of young people.
You can find more information on the SECASA schools program webpage.
Please email: secasa@monashhealth.org for more information.
If you would like to be a general volunteer at SECASA you must apply through
the Monash Health Volunteer Portal.
SECASA volunteers can assist with day to day administration of the service and staff support.

We welcome lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gender diverse, intersex and queer people into SECASA. We pledge to provide inclusive non-discriminatory services to LGBTIQ+ clients.
