Schools Program

Our model

SECASA School programs are an extensive suite of prevention programs delivered by SECASAFV in response to sexual abuse and family violence. It is a trauma-informed model providing prevention strategies for child sexual abuse. The model promotes a whole school approach that involves understanding, recognising and responding to the effects of trauma while emphasising safety for students.

The programs are available for senior management, teachers, students and parents. The programs aim to support school communities to understand the importance of implementing and practicing key strategies to ensure safety for children and foster positive attitudes towards behaviours and equality.

These programs are delivered across the developmental spectrum from pre-school to senior secondary school years by providing practical, evidence-based education, conversation and support.

This workshop aims to empower the young person to make informed, safe choices for themselves so they can confidently navigate the challenges and risks of sexual expression in an online world.
